Grieving Father Memorializes 6-Year-Old Daughter…and Has Kind Words for CT Killer’s Family | Video | TheBlaze.com

16 Dec

I do not have the words to adequately express my thoughts and emotions about the tragic elementary school shooting that occurred on Friday, December 14 in Newtown, CT.  My heart aches when I think about the suffering of these little children and the pain and horror that these families, police officers, emergency personnel and others are experiencing.

One of the most inspiring and courageous stories that I have read is about Robbie Parker, father to Emilie Parker who died on Friday.  A link to the article is below and, if you are able, please watch both of the videos posted in the story:

An ocean of tears will be shed. The work of a truly sick person. What can we as a society do to recognize the possibility of this crime in a known mentally ill individual, before it happens?

Thinking about and grieving with all those dear families who lost a child or a loved one on Friday, … and thinking about you, who knows too well the grief of losing a child. Blessings to your family on Christmas. May it be blessed, even as we contend with collective heartbreak.

Thank you so much Martha. May you have a blessed Christmas. I pray that you are comforted and have fond memories of past Christmases with your mother.
