I could hardly believe the alleged incidents detailed in the following article:
Michael Farris, the Chairman of Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) who is representing the alleged victims in this case, appeared on a local AM radio talk show today. I listened intently as he further described these and other similar alleged incidents (some supposedly at this same facility) that have been relayed to him. Mr. Farris graciously responded to callers, most of which were supportive of the victims and HSLDA’s efforts. Brenda and I both cried as the last caller to the show expressed his gratitude that HSLDA was pursuing this case and its historical efforts to protect the constitutional rights of homeschoolers and parents (we are lifetime members of HSLDA).
We feel blessed that last April, at this same facility that these alleged incidents took place, we experienced the grace of God as we tried to say goodbye to our son Isaac, whose soul was already in Heaven. The encouragement, prayers and words of truth extended to us by the medical center staff are an important blessing to us even to this day. My heart is saddened and concerned to hear that other parents experienced such distress at this same facility.
Trusting in and waiting on Him,
